Down to 24% oxygen.
They briefly had him on room air (21%), but then adjusted some ventilator settings down, so he got bumped up slightly to 24%.
He is getting 5 mL of mom's breast milk/colostrum every 3 hours. He had 2 mL residual this time, but, not too bad for his first feeding.
Dopamine is down to 9.
He's squirmy. Having a difficult time keeping his mask in place to shield his eyes from the phototherapy. :)
I asked the nurse (Jannae), and she said he probably won't be coming off the ventilator today, but hopefully soon....

Heidi Shane and Baby Connor ~
ReplyDeleteThese are all great SFG's he is doing all he can with healing Baby Connor and making him a strong baby.
Let me share with you this bible verse that was posted on Audra's site yesterday.
Isaiah 40:11 ~
"He tends His flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in His arms
and carries them close to His heart;
He gently leads those that have young."
Connor is his lamb and he is carrying him during this time.
Blessings for peace and for more touch times.

Just a reminder SFG means Signs From God. We use that a great deal on Audra's site.
ReplyDeleteYou have been given some wonderful signs today. Just make sure you have both your eye and ears open because some days the signs might not be as great, but they are there if you look for them.
