He nasal cannula has been removed, so he's now breathing completely on his own without any support!
They anticipate stopping IV fluids around 2p tomorrow.
He keeps making great strides forward....

ReplyDeletePlease know you have been in our daily prayers. With all we have been through we have always said the prayer of a child is in the truest form. It is honest with no thought of what if. So when both Audra and Brock were praying it was with their true heart.

We feel so privileged to be with you during your first week outside of Mommy’s womb. We hopped onto the first flight we could find from central Wisconsin on the day you were born. Although we were thrilled to hear you were coming, we were very sad to find out you had breathing problems shortly after you were born at the hospital in Allen. And it was so scary when your little lungs kept collapsing and you were transferred to this wonderful hospital in Plano.
We just have to tell you that it is AMAZING how many friends, families, and congregations prayed for you, and are continuing to pray for you to get well and go home with your Mommy and Daddy. There are people in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio (OK, my fingers are getting tired). There were folks pretty much in every state in the union AND the Philippines praying for you. And God has been answering all of our prayers. Look at you now! You’re gaining weight, starting to eat, and the nurses think it may not be too long before you’ll be able to blow this popsicle stand and head on home with your folks!! How sweet that will be.
Today Grandma was able to spend some time with you and your Mommy during ‘kangaroo time’. You both looked so cozy and happy. You know that both your Mommy and Daddy love you SO much. I see the love shining in their eyes when they hold you or just look at you, or look at your pictures, or EVEN when they ‘get’ to change your wet or messy little diapers. Now THAT’s true love.
As for Grandpa and Grandma, tomorrow we need to fly back to Wisconsin so Grandma can do this thing called a ‘job’, but we’re already looking at upcoming flights to come back and help your folks (and spoil you) while they get used to their new ‘baby routine’. So get used to seeing us, because we plan to build up our frequent flier miles! We love you so much, little Connor!!! Big hugs and kisses,
